A Gambler In Paris: First Sketch

Paris is a fantastic city. I like its intellectual and cultural edge. And the fact that it isn't self conscious about digging deeper for the meaning of things.

I've had an image in my head for quite a while now, about a 'Gambler In Paris'. Slowly I've refined the idea, and yesterday I sketched it out for the first time.

This isn't going to be a cutting edge contemporary piece. I never try to be 'cool' just for the sake of it. It's more a silent salute to Magritte, if anything, with maybe a little bit of Hirst thrown in (!)

But in the end, like Paris, it will be what it is.
